On 10 and 11 October, CEPESE (Centre for the Study of Population, Economy and Society, CEPESE, Portugal) is organizing a seminar on the challenges of sustainable development in the case of the island society of Cape Verde. The aim of the seminar is to reflect on the relationship between humanitarianism and security in the specific case of Cape Verde.
The event, devised by CEPESE researchers, has the support of the Fernando Pessoa University in Oporto, the Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde and the and Galician Observatory Center of Portuguese Language Countries. Researchers from Portugal, Spain and Cape Verde will reflect on and discuss current economic, legal, educational and religious issues.
The event, which brings together renowned professors and doctoral students, provides an opportunity to compare the results of research carried out in different countries.
The Jean Piaget University is represented mainly by students from the PhD programme in Global Development and Sustainability.
