On May 9th, healthcare professionals and students from Clinical Analysis and Public Health, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Physiotherapy gathered at UniPiaget for a Multidisciplinary Health Event to discuss infectious and oncological diseases. The event featured various specialists including Dr. Ofélia Monteiro from HUAN, Dr. Hélio Rocha from INSP, Dr. Wilson Silvestre Correia, Dr. Pámela Borges, Ms. Indira Soares, Ms. Dara Gamboa, Dr. Diogo Afonso, Dr. Fabrizia Encarnação, and students from the 3rd and 4th years of the mentioned courses.
Presentations covered topics such as respiratory infections in children, breast cancer, HPV, urinary tract infections, physiotherapy in oncological treatment, gastric cancer, dermatological diseases, and the role of pharmacists in providing care and services to the public. The aim of these presentations was to identify health problem patterns and find effective therapies for patients, while promoting collaboration among professionals from different healthcare fields.
This multidisciplinary health journey reaffirmed the medical community's commitment to seeking new approaches and innovative therapies to improve patients' quality of life and reduce the impact of infectious and oncological diseases on society.
