Within the discipline of physiotherapy, an event was held, taught by professor Evelise Amado, physiotherapist, specialist in women’s health and yoga instructor, in order to celebrate the international day of Yoga, celebrated on June 21. This activity is recognized as beneficial to health by the World Health Organization.

The purpose of this event was to make known more about the subject and its importance to human health.

Yoga is an ancient sports practice originated in India that consists of the balance between body and mind. It is the union of techniques that works the human being in its most diverse potentialities, which includes techniques to condition and control breathing, tools of the most varied to concentrate the mind, learn to control the energy of the body.
