On April 15, the Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde (Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde) hosted an important specialized medical care activity, reinforcing its commitment to the health and well-being of the community.
The initiative included a medical team from Portugal, composed of specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Internal and Family Medicine, as part of a partnership between the organizing clinic and the Rotary Club Portugal and Cape Verde (Rotary Club Portugal / Rotary Club Cape Verde). The consultations took place at Clínica Piaget Saúde, which provided the necessary conditions for patient care.
During the activity, UniPiaget received several patients who had access to specialized medical consultations, clinical assessment, and health guidance, promoting closer and more humanized follow-up.
In addition to clinical care, the initiative also included open discussion sessions with the university’s Psychology team, promoting clarification of doubts, sharing of experiences, and psychosocial support to participants.
A short computer literacy session was also held, aimed at strengthening basic digital skills and contributing to participants’ digital inclusion.
The activity also provided moments of interaction with students from the Physiotherapy programme, allowing knowledge sharing, practical observation, and direct contact with clinical reality, enriching students’ academic training.
This action reinforces the importance of international partnerships and the university’s involvement in initiatives with direct social impact, especially in support of more vulnerable populations.
