The Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde congratulates Professor Ana Carvalho on the international recognition she has achieved. A Brazilian/Portuguese academic, she has actively collaborated with our institution for several years, standing out for her scientific rigor, teaching excellence, and significant contribution to academic development, including her participation in extracurricular activities.

Between March 18 and 22, she took part in the prestigious Geneva Book Fair, where she launched her work “Silence, the Space Between Words,” which was awarded the label of a prize-winning literary work. At the same event, she received the Suisse Excellence Littérature 2026 award and the Suisse Network Award 2026, in the Outstanding Professional category, recognizing the impact of her intellectual production.

The work, initiated during her postdoctoral studies in Lisbon, reflects the close connection between her scientific research and literary creation. On this occasion, the professor also contributed to two co-authored works referencing UniPiaget, further strengthening the institution’s international visibility, and was featured in the event’s 40th anniversary commemorative magazine as one of the women of reference.

These distinctions honor UniPiaget and reaffirm its commitment to academic excellence, research, and the promotion of culture and knowledge.
