The Language Center of the Universidade Jean Piaget de Cabo Verde has resumed Spanish activities, strengthening students’ contact with the language and Hispanic culture. As part of these initiatives, the Club de Lectura en Español has restarted its sessions.
On March 25, a special meeting was held dedicated to Women’s Month, during which the story El puñal en la garganta by the Spanish writer Rosa Montero was read. The session provided a space for sharing and reflection among the participants. The next club session is scheduled for April 15. Those interested in learning more about Spanish culture through literature are invited to participate and share their impressions of the readings. Registrations can be made via email: centrodelinguas@cv.unipiaget.org.
In addition to the reading club, UniPiaget’s Spanish students participated in the inauguration of a panel commemorating March 8 – International Women’s Day. The collaborative work resulted from research on the origin of the day, highlighting its advocacy character in Spain.
All activities were organized by the Spanish Language Department at UniPiaget and took place at the Language Center.
