Today, June 3rd, marks the beginning of Environment Week at Piaget University of Cape Verde, which will continue until June 8th. The event commenced with the official opening by the Vice-Rector, Dr. Dilson Pereira, followed by an address from Dr. Ethel Rodrigues, the National Director of Environment, and the Rector, Dr. Joanita Rodrigues, who presented the Waste Management Plan at UNIPIAGET.
One of today's highlights was a lecture by PhD candidate Edita Magiveligiute on "Plastic and Glass Recycling in the São Francisco Community," in partnership with ECOCV and EcoNatura. Additionally, an exhibition of scientific works focusing on environmental issues was presented.
The program continues throughout the week with various activities and lectures, promoting awareness and action for the environment. UNIPIAGET invites the entire community to actively participate in the planned initiatives.
