The President of the Piaget Institute, Doctor António Oliveira Cruz, has been visiting Cape Verde since January 16th and will stay until February 1st of this year.
Accompanied by Dr. Armando Queijo, a member of Instituto Piaget's Board of Directors, they met with all of University Jean Piaget's employees on the 16th. At the meeting, they offered their New Year's greetings and the new General Administrator of University Jean Piaget's, Dra. Elizabete Orrico de Pina, who was introduced to the staff.
The President’s agenda includes a series of visits to the country's highest authorities and meetings with the entire academic community at Praia Campus as well as the Mindelo Campus.
The President’s has already met with the President of the Republic, the Minister of Education, the Mayor of Praia City and the former students of UniPiaget.

Other meetings are also scheduled with ARES, His Excellency the Prime Minister of Cape Verde and the Minister of Health.
The aim of these meetings is to communicate the intention to create the Piaget Institute of Cape Verde, an initiative that aims to strengthen ties with the academic community, and to involve former students in decision-making.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Cruz emphasized that resistance is always the fuel that sustains this institution. He also stressed that the Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde is committed to remaining, overcoming challenges and continuing to invest heavily in the education of current and future students.
