Last Thursday, October 10th, UniPiaget inaugurated the 2nd Spanish Film Cycle entitled ‘QUINTAS DE CINEMA E TORTILHA’, in celebration of the International Day of Spanish Cinema on October 6th.
The film selected to open this edition was ‘Siete mesas de billar francés’, a social drama directed with a lot of humor by Gracia Querejeta, one of Spain's most successful international directors. The event was attended by the Magnificent Dean of UniPiaget, Professor Joanita Rodrigues, the Spanish Consul in Cape Verde, Dr Elvira Vara, as well as the Spanish teachers in Cape Verde, Dr Alicia Solís Cózar (UniCV) and Master Rebeca Castañer Berenguer (UniPiaget).
The audience from different nationalities had the opportunity to connect with Spanish culture and relive the era of the 2000s through the genuine story of the film. At the end
of the screening, a debate was held on the details of the film accompanied by good tapas.
Stay tuned for the next cinema sessions, which will include more films and more opportunities for discussion! More info: centrodelinguas@cv.unipiaget.org
