Goals
Train human resources with knowledge in the area of Gerontology, through qualified research, with the competence to perform functions of analyzing social, health policies and legal aspects, and their operationalization in the concrete contexts of the lives of elderly people; as well as boosting research projects; teaching in this specific area; reflection on the determinants of active aging in the biopsychosocial dimensions, human rights and ethics in intervention in gerontology.

Employability
The master's degree in Gerontology offers varied fields of activity, being a means of improvement and even changing professional fields. Health institutions (public, private and educational) are the most common options, from preventive to palliative care. However, it applies to work areas that require the design, execution and evaluation of intervention programs and projects and activities to promote active aging, research in gerontology. In other words, in bodies that care for the elderly, maintain human rights and protect citizens (day centers/community centers, nursing homes).

ü Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
Enrollment
ü Recent criminal history record and original or certified copy (If you live on the island of Santiago).
ü Medical certificate;
ü 2 photographs (Digital photo for residents outside the islands of Santiago or São Vicente)
